About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Packaging Development Supervisor to join the dynamic team at PT Kartika Inti Sejati. As the Packaging Development Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the development and improvement of innovative packaging solutions to support the company's range of premium food products. In this full-time role, you will be based in our modern facilities in Bandung, West Java.
What you'll be doing
- Oversee the end-to-end packaging development process, from conceptualisation to implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and marketing, to ensure packaging designs meet both functional and aesthetic requirements
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities for packaging innovations
- Manage packaging trials and testing to ensure products meet all relevant safety and quality standards
- Develop and maintain packaging specifications, documentation, and Standard Operating Procedures
- Provide technical guidance and support to the packaging team, and mentor junior members
- Stay up-to-date with the latest packaging technologies, materials, and industry regulations
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a packaging development or supervision role, preferably within the food industry or FMCG
- Strong technical knowledge of packaging materials, design, and production processes
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Proficient in project management, with the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Degree in Packaging Technology, Food Science, or a related engineering field
- Understanding of relevant food safety regulations and packaging compliance requirements
