Job Summary:
Maintain and support catering facilities with reliability, technical skill, and discipline. As part of the Catering Team serving Military personnel, the Handyman ensures that kitchen and facility operations run safely, efficiently, and without disruption. This role requires a multi-skilled technician who respects strict safety standards and structured systems to support mission-driven catering operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and gas system support, to ensure all kitchen and catering facilities operate smoothly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively to minimize downtime and service interruptions.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, utilities, and infrastructure to identify potential risks or maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, particularly related to electrical and gas systems.
- Provide hands-on support for both kitchen operations and facility infrastructure as required by the catering team.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation for all completed work and inspections.
- Collaborate with kitchen, service, and logistics teams to support overall operational readiness.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining equipment during large-scale events or military exercises.
- Adhere strictly to company SOPs and military safety protocols at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical work, and gas system support, preferably in catering, hospitality, or institutional environments.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety standards and compliance regulations for electrical and gas systems.
- Hands-on, reliable, and adaptable, with a proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
- Team-oriented mindset with respect for discipline, structure, and established protocols.
- Proficiency in English communication (both spoken and written).
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for work assignments.
- Commitment to supporting the Catering Team in delivering safe, efficient, and mission-ready service.
