The
Cabin & Safety Workshop
maintains the interior furnishings, seats, and safety equipment on Emirates aircraft. They are divided into several specialized areas:

Cabin Workshops: Repair and Overhauls passenger seats, galleys, lavatories, carpets and other cabin and cargo components, including leather and upholstery repair for all EK fleets A319,A380 & B777,

Cabin Workshop Technician
will be responsible for carrying out maintenance/ calibration tasks on Emirates and third party aircraft

components/ tools and equipment in accordance with company procedures and regulations. The job

holder works as part of a team under the direction and guidance of the assigned supervisor/ Engineer

within the appropriate trade/cross trade disciplines for which they have been trained.

In this role you will

  • Carry out routine component/ tools servicing and calibration/ maintenance /modification and, or approved structural repairs compliant to manufacturers procedures whilst observing all safety procedures.
  • Complete any component / tools maintenance and other tasks as assigned by immediate Supervisor/Engineers. This will include the ability to obtain and understand Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM),
  • Illustrated Parts catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Standard Practice Manual (SPM), Quality Manual ISO/IEC 17025 or other approved documentation required to carry out the task.
  • Assist supervisor/ Engineers in trouble shooting, defect rectifications and carrying out modifications while performing instructions contained in the job card.
  • Ensure all work locations are kept clean and maintain excellent housekeeping.
  • Participate and promote in creating a safety culture in an effort to minimise accidents and highlight any deficiencies/failures that can lead to such accidents. This includes being aware and communicating safety shortfalls.
  • Maintain vigilance in ensuring work areas (including the ramp), vehicles, stands, lockers are free of FOD and that toolboxes are regularly audited, maintained and kept clean.
  • Ensure prompt attendance to all allocated tasks with the intent to reduce TAT and avoid operational delays/disruptions.
  • Should be able to communicate any aircraft/ component/ structural defects found to the supervisor/ Engineer in an expedient manner and ensure during shift handovers all required information is clearly passed to the staff taking over.
  • Enable to perform testing, verifications, services to monitor, assist and support all Overhaul/Repair/Refurbishment/Inspection & Calibration tasks required as per special procedures and manuals used in respective workshop.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years in Engineering
  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
  • Degree in Engg in Aeronautical subjects/Mechanical/Avionics/Electronic/Tech Engineering OR Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence OR Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • 5+ Years of post qualification experience in aviation field, out of which minimum 2 years should be in workshop environment e.g. W&B, Avionics, Cabin, Structures or Calibration, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Fuel & Oil, Landing Gear.
