Position Overview

Meratus Group seeks a professional Procurement Junior Manager to supports the end-to-end procurement process to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services. This role focuses on vendor management, contract negotiation, sourcing strategies, and process improvement to support operational needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement operations to ensure compliance with internal policies, budget approvals and fulfilment of SLA target.
  • Coordinate purchase requisition, purchase order and resolve issues such as delays, shortages or quality nonconformance.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, benchmark pricing and assess supplier capabilities.
  • Collaborate with business units to forecast demand and optimize sourcing strategies
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks
  • Evaluate and manage supplier performance.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing supplier contracts and service agreements.
  • Coach, mentor, and equip team with knowledge, skills and tools necessary to work effectively, efficiently and meet performance target
  • Evaluate the P3W (Policy, Procedure, Process, and Workflow) framework, recommend and implement changes to meet evolving business needs and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
Experience
  • Minimum 5-6 years in Procurement
  • Exposure to ERP systems
  • Experience in Shipping Company would be an advantage
