Reporting To

Managing Director – Flowmach Engineering Sdn Bhd, Malaysia

Job Purpose

To lead and grow Flowmach's commercial presence in Indonesia by developing business opportunities in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, and Industrial sectors. The role involves managing key customer relationships, promoting Flowmach's portfolio of flow control, valves, instrumentation, and engineering solutions, and driving sales strategies aligned with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries (Oil & Gas, Power, Refinery, Petrochemical, and Marine).

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, end users, and distributors in Indonesia.
  • Develop country-specific sales strategies and forecasts aligned with regional growth plans.
  • Lead tendering, bidding, and contract negotiations to secure profitable projects.
  • Coordinate with principals and factories for technical proposals and quotations.

  • Marketing & Brand Development

  • Develop local marketing initiatives to strengthen Flowmach's brand visibility.

  • Represent Flowmach at exhibitions, client meetings, and industry conferences.
  • Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer preferences.
  • Support digital marketing campaigns and content localization for the Indonesian market.

  • Customer & Technical Support

  • Provide pre-sales and after-sales technical support to customers.

  • Liaise closely with engineering and service teams to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Follow up on projects, deliveries, and service performance to maintain customer loyalty.

  • Management & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly business performance reports and sales forecasts.

  • Manage and motivate local sales and support teams (where applicable).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regional trade regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical / Industrial) or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in industrial sales, preferably in valves, instrumentation, or flow control equipment.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in technical or project-based environments.
  • Strong network with EPCs, Oil & Gas operators, and industrial clients in Indonesia.
  • Experience in marketing strategies, channel management, and regional business development.

Preferred Advantage

  • Background in working with international principals or regional distributors.
  • Familiar with tender processes (Pertamina, PLN, EPCs).
  • Knowledge of API/ASME valve standards and oil & gas project documentation.
