About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Compliance Legal to join our legal team at Marvell City in Surabaya, East Java. As a contract role, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic legal and compliance initiatives of our growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of compliance-related matters
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents and contracts to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Monitoring changes in legislation and regulations, and advising the business on the implications and necessary actions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective compliance policies and procedures
  • Conducting compliance audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential legal and regulatory risks
  • Delivering compliance training and awareness programmes to employees across the organisation
  • Representing the company in dealings with regulatory authorities and external legal counsel

What we're looking for

  • Substantial experience (3+ years) in a compliance or legal role, preferably within a complex organisation
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and industry standards applicable to our business
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance programmes and initiatives
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant legal qualifications and professional certifications in compliance or risk management
