Economic Framework for a Climate-Responsive Indonesia Towards Net-Zero Emission

Background

The KOMITMEN initiative is a collaboration between the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and the Faculty of Social Sciences (FOSS) at the Indonesian International Islamic University (UIII), with the support of ViriyaENB. This initiative aims to strengthen Indonesia's economic policy framework to be adaptive to climate risks and opportunities, and to support the transition towards net-zero emissions

The program activitiies include:

  • Research

and analysis on climate-responsive macroeconomic frameworks.

  • Developing methodologies to assess climate risks, including physical and transition risks, as well as stranded asset analysis.
  • Disseminating research findings through policy briefs, academic publications, policy dialogues, and stakeholder capacity-building initiatives.
