Salesforce Application Consultant
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- 1-3 years of proven experience as a Salesforce Consultant or in a similar application consulting role.
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce products, particularly Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration capabilities (e.g., Objects, Fields, Page Layouts, Record Types, Validation Rules, Workflow Rules, Process Builder, Flow).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach to challenges and a strong sense of ownership.
- Experience with Salesforce integration methods (e.g., API integrations, third-party apps).
- Certified Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder is highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of Apex, Visualforce, or Lightning Web Components.
- Experience with data migration tools (e.g., Data Loader).
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Conduct discovery sessions and workshops with clients to thoroughly understand their "current state" business processes, pain points, and desired outcomes.
- Solution Design & Configuration: Design and propose Salesforce solutions that align with client requirements, leveraging standard Salesforce features, configurations (e.g., custom objects, fields, validation rules, workflow automation using Flow/Process Builder), and best practices.
- Implementation & Development (Declarative Focus): Execute configuration tasks within agreed-upon timelines and create and configure reports and custom report types.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to ensure the Salesforce solution meets business requirements, facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients and gather feedback.
- Client Management & Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on projects, building strong relationships and managing expectations.
- Documentation & Training: Create clear and maintainable documentation, including user guides, configuration logs, process documentation, and solution design documents.
- Continuous Improvement & Mentorship: Stay updated on the latest Salesforce releases, features, and best practices.
