I am looking for a talented toy designer with technical skills in laser-cut production design and basic electronics integration. The project is to design a unique, STEM-based "Electro Maze" (Think & Wire) toy—a logic puzzle that uses lights, switches, and simple circuits to teach children how electricity works. This is a pre-assembled product for children aged 6–10 and not a DIY kit.The final design must be ready for direct use in a laser cutting machine and small-scale electronics assembly.Project Goal & DeliverablesI need a complete, production-ready design package that can be efficiently used for manufacturing and assembly. The freelancer will be responsible for:* Production-Ready Files: Precise 2D vector files (.DXF, .SVG) for laser cutting. The layout must be optimized for MDF sheet cutting, with correct kerf compensation for tight-fit joints.* 3D Model: A complete 3D model showing how the toy looks and assembles, including placement of electronic parts (switches, LEDs, battery holder, buzzer, etc.).* Bill of Materials (BOM) & Assembly Diagram: A detailed BOM for both MDF parts and electronic components, and a clear visual assembly and wiring diagram for my production team.* High-Quality Renders: Attractive product renders for marketing and packaging.Key Design Requirements* Material: The toy's body is designed for MDF (specified thickness).* Assembly: The design must be optimized for quick, efficient pre-assembly by an adult. The assembly should rely on tab-and-slot joints with a friction fit and adhesive. No external fasteners (like screws) should be required.* Electronics Integration: Include correct cutouts, mounting holes, and wire channels for LEDs, switches, and a battery module.* Safety & Usability: All parts should be safe for children, with rounded corners and smooth edges.Budget & Experience* Project-based budget: ₹8,500 INR (fixed)* Ideal candidate: Toy designer, product designer, or design student with experience in laser-cut MDF toys, interactive kits, or STEM projects. Please provide a brief overview of your design process and share relevant examples from your portfolio that demonstrate your experience in industrial design and/or production-ready designs.
