Head of Offgrid Sales /Business Development (Mining Segment Target) - Reports to: Managing Director

Jakarta (with frequent travel to mine sites / remote areas) - Role Summary :
Lead and execute the commercial strategy to secure renewable energy power plant projects (solar, mini-hydro, biomass, BESS, hybrid) with mining companies in Indonesia. The role is responsible for building a robust pipeline, driving large-scale deal closure (PPA/EPC/IPP), and managing relationships with top decision makers (C-level / owners).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for the mining segment (target: coal, nickel, copper, bauxite miners).
- Initiate and maintain direct relationships with C-level executives, owners, and key decision makers of mining companies.
- Build, validate, and prioritize a project pipeline (annual pipeline value target USD 50–100M).
- Lead the end-to-end commercial process (LOI → term sheet → PPA/contract) in coordination with legal and technical teams.
- Prepare and deliver commercial bids, financial models, and board-level client presentations.
- Work cross-functionally with technical, finance, legal, and project operations teams, and engage external stakeholders (offtakers, SOEs, regulators).
- Represent the company at tenders, industry forums, and client workshops.
- Conduct site visits and due diligence in remote mining locations to strengthen client relationships.
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting on pipeline, probability, expected value, and revenue forecast.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, focusing on high-value or CAPEX project sales to mining clients in Indonesia.
- Strong, direct network with C-level executives and owners of major mining companies in Indonesia.
- Solid track record in closing large-scale transactions (≥ USD 10 million project value).
- Experience in drafting/negotiating PPAs, EPC commercial terms, or IPP models is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Indonesian energy regulations, licensing processes, and tender procedures.
- Willingness to travel frequently to remote mining sites.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills at C-suite level.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and professional English.
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business, Economics, or relevant fields). MBA is a plus.
