Our client, a manufacturer of aluminum packaging, is looking for a Quality Specialist who will ensure that all products and processes meet established standards and requirements.
Job Descriptions:
- Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to confirm they meet specifications.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformance issues, and procedural errors.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to improve overall product quality and efficiency.
- Analyse data from testing and inspections to identify trends and potential areas for improvement in the production process.
- Document inspection results and other quality assurance activities, and prepare reports for management.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering.
- Train staff on new or updated quality control procedures and best practices.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards, such as ISO or GMP.
- Manage inspection equipment, including calibrating and maintaining measurement tools.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, quality management, or a specific life science like chemistry, is often preferred or required for specialist-level positions.
- Experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing or production environment is typically expected, with specialist roles often requiring 2–4 years.
- The ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications is essential.
- Keen observation is needed to spot small defects in materials or printing that can compromise product quality.
- The capacity to perform root cause analysis and propose solutions to production issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for reporting findings and collaborating with different departments.
