Chef De Partie – All Day Dining

Job Summary

Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, ensuring consistency, quality and safety. Maintain kitchen equipment and working environment, collaborate with staff to meet service demands, and contribute to menu development and cost control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce food in accordance with recipes, quality, presentation and safety standards.
  • Supervise implementation of work procedures, safety practices and food‑hygiene rules.
  • Store goods and ingredients in accordance with HACCP and other health regulations.
  • Control temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; regulate food thawing and freezing processes.
  • Pre‑prepare and garnish dishes, ensuring correct portioning and presentation.
  • Maintain kitchen logs, inventory and food‑safety records.
  • Research, develop and test new menu items, incorporating market trends and customer feedback.
  • Manage food budgets and ensure operations stay within cost limits.
  • Clean, reset and maintain the kitchen and cooking equipment.
  • Communicate staffing or equipment needs during peak periods and report operational issues to the kitchen manager.
  • Inform service staff of specials and items that are out of stock.
  • Perform any additional reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Shift Schedule
  • Monday – Saturday: Morning, Noon, Evening
  • Sunday: Morning, Noon, Evening
Qualifications
  • Minimum education of a Culinary, Hospitality or related diploma.
  • At least 2–3 years experience in a culinary role within a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety (HACCP), preparation techniques and ingredient handling.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to work as part of a team.
  • Detail‑oriented, creative and capable of managing time efficiently.
