The Face to Face Fundraiser (Direct Dialogue Campaigner) role is very crucial for Greenpeace. The role is responsible for acquiring new supporters to raise money and gain commitment to Greenpeace's vision to achieve ecological sustainability. As Greenpeace has a policy of not soliciting funds from corporations or governments, we are reliant on the support of individuals for all the funds to carry out our environmental campaigns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performance
- Minimum of one valid signup per day averaged and evaluated on a weekly basis.
- 120 (One hundred twenty) hours per month on the field, or six hours per day recruiting members in the assigned site
- 40 (Forty) hours per month in the office to attend training programs/meetings or to process sign up forms offline.
- Achieve performance within 3 (three) consecutive months.
- Approach members of the public to build a rapport
- Understand and correctly completing supporter financial information necessary for contributions
Personal Development
- Constant personal development of approach and skills on the job
- Promoting a good image of the organization and of our fundraising program
- Attend weekly trainings and role play sessions
- Listen to and incorporate advice for your performance of Team leader, Trainer, and DDC Core team
Organizational Stewardship – SOP
- Protect the information and identity of Greenpeace supporters by turning in all forms every day, never leaving forms unattended, and never sharing any member information with anyone other than your DDC management team. In addition, blank forms are never to be given out to anyone.
- Present information about the organization and its campaign in a clear and correct manner
- Completing the donations forms accurately – and ensuring confidentiality of all donor information, and submitting the forms to the office in a timely manner.
- Attractive and presentable at all times while working.
- Persuade people to join ; do not pressure and be punctual.
- Represent Greenpeace well as on the SOP DD and Handbook
- Provide a positive experience for new and existing members and end all conversations in a polite and respectful manner. Leave every interaction on a positive note
Requirements:
- 18 – 32 years old
- Minimum diploma degree
- Excellent communicator, enthusiastic and motivated
- Have leadership spirit and target oriented
- Good work ethic: committed, optimistic, loyal, dynamic environment and high mobility
- Confidence in face to face individual interaction
- Have a passion for the environment and proud to work for Greenpeace
- Able to easily build rapport with a diverse range of people
WORKING HOURS
To ensure the optimum performance on the field, assigned working schedules will be given, including working during holiday and weekends. Normal hours of work for a full time Employee will be forty (40) hours per week or (5) days in a week, with a shifting scheme excluding the breaks.
