Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Head Chef role located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Head Chef will oversee kitchen operations, manage kitchen staff, monitor food preparation to maintain high-quality standards, and ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations. The role involves planning menus, creating and implementing SOPs as needed and managing inventory efficiently. The Head Chef will play a key role in ensuring the culinary excellence that defines Levant.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in culinary techniques, including French & Mediterranean cuisine preparation
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee kitchen staff
  • Proficiency in menu planning, recipe creation, and food inventory management
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and best practices in kitchen operations
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic kitchen environment
  • Previous experience working as a Head Chef minimum 5 years
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in the food and hospitality industry is prefered
