adidas is hiring a contract-based Buyer who will be responsible for driving commercial success through strategic range planning, order management, and in-season trading. This role requires a strong understanding of brand directives, market dynamics, and store performance to optimize product assortments and maximize sales. The position also plays a key role in supporting new store openings and collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Retail Operations, and Customer Service teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal range forecasts for FRS Monobrand in alignment with brand guidelines and commercial objectives.
- Ensure product selections reflect market trends, customer preferences, and store profiles.
- Oversee and manage timely order submissions from FRS, ensuring accuracy and alignment
- with forecasted plans.
- Monitor store-level sell-out trends and stock movements to identify opportunities and risks.
- Review store performance to support tailored assortment strategies and inventory optimization.
- Partner with the Sales team to manage sell-in strategies and ensure effective product
- distribution across stores.
- Execute trading activities during the season to respond to performance insights, including campaign review, reorders, markdowns, and stock replenishment.
- Prepare initial product pipeline and assortment plans for upcoming store openings, ensuring readiness and alignment with brand standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or range planning — preferably in fashion, footwear, or retail industry.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and franchise partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and merchandising systems (e.g., SAP, BI tools), with high attention to detail and organizational skills.
