PT Fajar Mulia Transindo is seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Software Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our team in Surabaya.
Crucially, this is a non-technical, functional testing position. We are looking for sharp problem-solvers who can think like our end-users. You will be responsible for validating software quality, ensuring its reliability, and accurately documenting performance against real-world business needs.
You will be the vital link between our business users and the development team, gaining valuable insight into diverse operational areas while confirming that our software is seamless and accurate.
What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)- Systematic Testing & Execution: Design and execute thorough test plans and scenarios, focusing on real-world functional testing to proactively identify and report software defects and errors.
- Documentation Focus: Accurately log, track, and manage software bugs, technical issues, and defects from discovery through resolution. Maintain detailed and professional documentation of all test results and processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various business units to validate features and clarify user requirements. Work with developers to ensure issues are clearly understood and addressed (Note: Developers are responsible for all debugging and coding).
- Quality & User Experience Advocacy: Provide clear, actionable insights and recommendations aimed at improving the overall user experience and ensuring intuitive software workflows.
- Coordination & Communication: Conduct and participate in daily coordination meetings with the development team and stakeholders to review testing progress, align on priorities, and address findings.
What We're Looking For (Essential Requirements)
- Education: Minimum educational background of SMK (Vocational High School) or S1 (Bachelor's Degree).
- Digital Mastery: Essential familiarity with common computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email, general web browsing, and the use of modern AI tools (like ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to enhance productivity.
- Aptitude and Attitude are Key: We prioritize candidates with exceptional attention to detail, a meticulous and systematic approach to problem-solving, and a genuine passion for finding errors and ensuring quality.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team, manage time efficiently, and handle documentation and testing cycles simultaneously.
Training will be provided. This role is structured to train dedicated, process-oriented individuals to become strong QA Specialists and grow professionally within our team.
Bonus Skills & Background (Strong Advantages)
- Prior Experience: Previous experience (1+ years) in a Quality Assurance, operational analysis, or highly systematic role.
- Technical Education: A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Technical Familiarity: Prior experience in a software development position, or familiarity with basic coding, scripting, or SQL knowledge.
- Testing Experience: Experience with UAT, regression testing, or working with test case management tools.
