Purpose of the Role:

As a Business Analyst, you're play a pivotal role in providing an expertise consulting to our banking clients, and bridging the gap between the business and technology requirements, ensuring projects deliver value by gathering requirements, documenting business processes and facilitating communication to align with the business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients in the solutions, understanding the business needs and providing strategic guidance and lead and manage consulting projects, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Communicating with client to gather project requirements and understanding client's needs and translating them into application requirements i.e. ensuring the development/customization of product meet the client's business needs.
  • Drive the design and development of innovative solutions for clients in the core banking areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in core banking, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Evaluating information collected from multiple sources & collaborating with subject matter experts and developers; to establish & analyze trade-offs between system reusability and technical constraints.
  • Preparing detailed functional specifications document, user guides, training materials and other relevant functional documentation as deemed necessary.
  • Being an interface between technology teams, support teams, and business units.
  • Obtaining Functional Specification sign off.
  • Conducting user training.

Skills & Specifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years (mid-level) as a Business Analyst or System Analyst, preferably in core banking environments, either: As a consultant/vendor implementing core banking systems; or as an end-user within a financial institution handling operational systems, upgrades, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of core banking modules (e.g., customer onboarding, loan/deposit processing, GL, treasury, or payments).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end project cycles including requirement gathering, gap analysis, documentation, testing, and user training.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to interpret business needs, document clear specifications, and deliver client/user training effectively.
  • Critical thinking and keen observation skills, able to detect root causes during requirement discussions and proactively identify potential gaps or conflicts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of proposing workarounds or alternative solutions for business or system constraints.
  • Comfortable working directly with stakeholders at various levels, including product owners, end-users, technical teams, and C-level decision-makers.
  • Willing to travel for project deployment, both domestically and internationally, and open to project placements outside Jakarta as needed.
  • Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple client engagements simultaneously
