Technician / Mechanical Electrical Engineer (Alam Sutera, Gresik, Palembang, Balikpapan)

Responsibilities

• Installation and Commissioning : Install and commission automation hardware, including sensors, controllers, actuators, and other components.
• Maintenance and Repair : Perform regular maintenance on automation systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation. Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in the hardware.
• Technical Support : Provide technical support to clients, addressing questions and concerns, and offering solutions to technical problems. Remote or on‑site support is included.
• System Upgrades : Implement system upgrades and modifications to improve performance or integrate new technologies with minimal disruption to client operations.
• Documentation : Maintain detailed records of installations, maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades. Prepare reports and documentation for clients and internal use.
• Training : Provide training to clients’ staff on operation and maintenance of automation systems. Ensure users are knowledgeable and can operate them safely and effectively.
• Compliance and Safety : Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations and standards. Conduct safety inspections and enforce safety protocols.
• Customer Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Technical Expertise : Knowledge of automation hardware, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and actuators.
• Troubleshooting : Problem‑solving skills to diagnose and repair hardware issues.
• Communication : Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
• Customer Service : Strong customer service orientation to ensure client satisfaction.
• Technical Documentation : Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Attention to Detail : Keen eye for detail to ensure accurate installation and maintenance.
• Adaptability : Flexibility to work in various environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Physical Stamina : Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and work in different field conditions.
• Team Player : Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Technical Expertise : Strong knowledge of automation hardware, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and actuators. Ability to read PLC programming languages: Ladder Diagram, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Chart, Instruction List. Familiarity with induction motors, barcode scanners, servo motors, frequency converters, etc.
• Troubleshooting : Excellent problem‑solving skills to diagnose and repair hardware issues.
• Communication : Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
• Customer Service : Strong customer service orientation to ensure client satisfaction.
• Technical Documentation : Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Software Skills : Familiarity with automation software and tools (e.g., Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Schneider Electric).
• Field Automation : Experience with field automation.
• English : Can read and speak decent English.
• Hardware skill : Perform bench work using hand tools (filing, drilling, sawing, welding, etc.). Use measuring tools and special tools (multitester, ammeter, oscilloscope, vernier calipers, torque wrench, etc.).
