PROJECT BASED 9 MONTH

Duties:
  • Assist the Project Manager in carrying out IT-related tasks within the project.
  • Be responsible for data collection and the development of the IT database for the M4CR project.
  • Verify field data when necessary, in collaboration with relevant experts.
  • Contribute to discussions and presentations with the project team related to IT and data aspects.
  • Develop protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT database analysis and management.
  • Coordinate the preparation of technical requirements for software and hardware for the project.
  • Organize training and knowledge transfer to ministries/agencies and other stakeholders regarding the development and implementation of IT systems, networks, and applications.
  • Prepare reports on IT development activities and analyses on a regular basis.
  • Be responsible for the IT infrastructure of the project, including servers supporting systems such as the National Mangrove Map (PMN).
  • Carry out other relevant tasks as required by the project.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support in the development and management of IT systems for the M4CR project.
  • Ensure the availability of an accurate, integrated, and easily accessible project database.
  • Develop and implement technical protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data management and IT systems.
  • Identify and prepare requirements for software and hardware for the project.
  • Develop and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers and supporting networks for systems such as the National Mangrove Map (PMN).
  • Ensure that the developed IT systems can be optimally used by the project team and relevant agencies.
  • Conduct training and knowledge transfer to ministries/agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical reports on IT development activities and project achievements.
  • Coordinate with other experts to ensure cross-sector integration in the development of IT systems for the project.
  • Maintain the security, reliability, and sustainability of the IT systems built during and after the project period.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Education: A Master's degree (advanced master's degree) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Geography, Remote Sensing, or other relevant fields.
  • Basic Understanding and Knowledge: A fundamental understanding and demonstrable knowledge in IT, as well as in forestry or natural resource management.
  • In-depth Knowledge: Profound knowledge of methods and tools in IT and GIS applications for forestry analysis and mapping (especially related to land use and land cover update and evaluation), with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
  • Technical Experience: Experience in developing algorithms for land use and land cover data updates.
  • Cloud Computing Knowledge: Good knowledge of cloud computing frameworks is a plus.
  • Understanding of Operational Procedures: Strong understanding of operational procedures and infrastructure used by the Government of Indonesia, along with other methodological frameworks and standard guidelines.
  • Excellent Writing and Communication Skills: Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English.
  • International Project Experience: Experience working in international-scale projects.
  • Independent and Team Work: Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
