PwC Southeast Asia Consulting's vision is to create meaningful relationships with our clients by powering the next-generation digital enterprise. As a Senior Manager, Cloud Solution Architect, you'll be a trusted advisor and technical leader, helping public sector and financial services organizations across Southeast Asia navigate cloud with confidence. • Assess clients' current-state environments across infrastructure, applications, databases, and APIs; define target-state cloud architectures and roadmaps.
  • Own end-to-end architecture design and planning, remaining hands-on through implementation to ensure quality and outcomes.
  • Develop cloud strategies, conduct migration assessments, and present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Serve as the technical SME in client discussions, translating complex topics into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Lead and coach migration engineering teams: facilitate working sessions, review deliverables, provide technical direction, and step in hands-on when needed.
  • Prepare, review, and present documentation including architectures, designs, plans, and operational runbooks.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to building a high-performing, inclusive team.
  • Support pre-sales, solutioning, and proposal development, including estimates, approaches, and demos.
  • Advise on best practices, security, and responsible cloud operations while upholding PwC's quality and client service standards.
  • Engage in cloud conversations with public sector and financial institutions across Southeast Asia, contributing to thought leadership and practice growth.

Required qualifications

  • 10+ years designing and implementing private/public/hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions, with at least 5 end-to-end cloud implementations (migration or greenfield).
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure core services and concepts; experience designing multi-cloud solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, cloud-native patterns, container management, and cloud computing capabilities.
  • Solid background in Linux/Unix and/or Windows administration.
  • Strong knowledge of networking and core internet protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP) and routing in distributed networks.
  • Broad understanding of IT infrastructures and application stacks (compute, storage, network, middleware, databases).
  • Experience implementing cloud security controls, network boundary protections, and related toolsets.
  • Working knowledge of Agile delivery and DevOps, including Infrastructure-as-Code with tools such as ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation, Terraform, and configuration management (Ansible/Chef/Puppet).
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming in one or more languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, C#/.NET.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders, with strong communication skills and a track record of simplifying complexity.

Preferred qualifications

  • Enterprise Architect certification (e.g., TOGAF) is an advantage.
  • One or more technical certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
  • Experience working with public sector and/or financial services clients in Southeast Asia.
