PERSOL APAC Indonesia is currently assisting a client from a Food & Beverage (Cocoa Products) Manufacturing placed in Gresik, East Java for a Purchasing Executive position, with details below:

General Job Scope

• Manage and implement company policies & practices in logistics and purchasing
• Liaise with manufacturing & production teams to address specifications, complaints, and quality issues for continuous improvement Source locally and overseas for raw materials, packaging, and spare parts
• Expand vendor base and conduct vendor assessment
• Handle purchase requisitions, purchase orders, quotations, and price comparisons
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery to achieve cost efficiency
• Monitor packaging material planning, import/export shipments, and rejected items
• Ensure smooth daily transactions and compliance with company procedures
• Prepare weekly and monthly purchasing reports

General Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• 4-6 years of experience as a Purchasing Supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability, and high integrity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Able to work independently and as a team player, with resilience in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
• Good physical and mental health

Job Description

Responsibilities :

• Direct to supply planning, demand planning, and coordinate with procurement, warehouse, distribution, sales
• Lead the integration between end to end Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations in a consumer company (Food Industry)
• Oversee and manage company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize efficiency and productivity
• Responsible for controlling the entire activity of distribution, raw material and finished good's warehouse
• Control the flow of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to ensure customers receive products on time
• Monitor forecast to identify changes and the effect on supply chain activities
• Implement and support lean manufacturing principles
• Identify bottleneck within process and implement solutions in a timely manner

Requirements :

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in any field from reputable university
• At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position (warehouse management within Food Manufacturing and end-to-end Supply Chain Operations)
• Preferably Manager/Assistant Manager specialized in Supply Chain/Warehouse Management or equivalent
• Familiarity with ERP Software
• Have in depth knowledge and competencies of supply chain management, inventory control, warehouse management (WMS & GWP) and logistics management
• Have good knowledge and experience about continuous improvement, quality management systems, six sigma, 5S, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, Food Safety, HACCP
• Experience in planning and forecasting of a supply chain over multiple time horizons
• Proficiency with Excel, Access or other database software, statistical modelling software
• Strong management and leadership skills, Strong project management and collaboration skills, Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability and continuing desire to work underpressure, and aggressively attack tight deadlines
• Dynamic and Highly motivated with strong problem solving skill
• Possess excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and presentation skill, Able to communicate effectively to all level with clarity and authority, Confidently present to all level and effectively transfer a message
• A natural affiliation with a fast‑paced environment
• Applicant must be willing to be placed in Driyorejo, Gresik, East Java
