Key Responsibilities
Qualifications & Requirements
- Monitor network traffic, bandwidth utilization, and performance across switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Perform network troubleshooting using tools such as traceroute, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, and switches for optimal performance and security.
- Identify and isolate network faults, latency, and connectivity issues.
- Raise Level 3 (L3) support tickets to respective vendors and coordinate resolution (contracts provided).
- Implement security policies, access control lists (ACLs), and VPN configurations.
- Support network infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and configuration changes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network topology, configurations, and incident reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IP network infrastructure operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or Palo Alto devices.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols (VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- Strong understanding of firewall policies, NAT, and VPN setup.
- Skilled in packet capture and analysis (tcpdump, Wireshark).
- Familiar with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
- Knowledge of routing, switching, and security best practices.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under minimal supervision.
Preferred Certifications:
- CCNA / CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional)
- Fortinet NSE4 / Palo Alto PCNSA / Juniper JNCIA-SEC
