Network & Security Engineer (Switches, Firewall, Router)

• Monitor network traffic, bandwidth utilization, and performance across switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Perform network troubleshooting using tools such as traceroute, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, and switches for optimal performance and security.
• Identify and isolate network faults, latency, and connectivity issues.
• Raise Level 3 (L3) support tickets to respective vendors and coordinate resolution (contracts provided).
• Implement security policies, access control lists (ACLs), and VPN configurations.
• Support network infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and configuration changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network topology, configurations, and incident reports.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IP network infrastructure operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or Palo Alto devices.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols (VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Strong understanding of firewall policies, NAT, and VPN setup.
• Skilled in packet capture and analysis (tcpdump, Wireshark).
• Familiar with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
• Knowledge of routing, switching, and security best practices.

Preferred Certifications:

• CCNA / CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional)
