Job Description

The role requires a senior network engineer to plan, implement, support, and maintain core network services across cloud and on‑prem environments. Responsibilities span from troubleshooting and performance monitoring to project execution and team collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze customer needs and troubleshoot network issues across all layers of the stack.
  • Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, VPN, SD‑WAN, and collaboration devices (Cisco, Ruckus, Huawei, Forti, Juniper, Mikrotik).
  • Provide preventive and corrective maintenance, document all changes, and produce technical reports.
  • Monitor network performance, utilization, and security; identify and remediate performance bottlenecks and vulnerabilities.
  • Support VSAT engineering, network design, and implementation for customer networks.
  • Manage incidents, tickets, and communication with users and internal teams; perform root‑cause analysis and post‑incident reporting.
  • Maintain firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco ASA), proxy servers (Cisco WSA), and backup/restore systems.
  • Ensure VoIP QoS, SD‑WAN, and wireless standards meet organizational requirements.
  • Participate in Network Operations Center (NOC) shifts, including on‑site support, standby duty, and incident escalation.
  • Collaborate with security and asset managers on network upgrades, firmware releases, and patch management.
  • Conduct research on emerging network solutions, prepare MOP/LLD documents, and support implementation projects.
  • Maintain documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Provide risk assessment and advice for pre‑implementation projects.
  • Adhere to best practices in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS), switching, VLAN, STP, QinQ, and VPN technologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field (minimum).
  • Minimum 2–5 years of professional experience in network engineering, preferably with System Integrator, Cloud Provider, ISP, or Managed Service Company.
  • Hands‑on expertise with Cisco, Ruckus, Huawei, Fortinet, Jun, Mikrotik, and other enterprise networking gear.
  • Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, QoS, and wireless technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds) and ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of network security, firewall configuration, and threat mitigation.
  • Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP (preferred); JNCIA, MCSE, MCSA also advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and collaborate across teams.
  • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with local Indonesian network resources and ISPs is a plus.
  • Experience with NOC operations and incident response procedures.
Location & Salary
  • Jakarta, Indonesia.
  • Salary ranges from IDR 8,000,000 to IDR 12,000,000 per month, depending on experience and role.
