- Ensure that all testing activities are carried out in accordance with SOPs, ISO 17025, and applicable regulations.
- Schedule and coordinate the work of laboratory analysts and technicians.
- Supervise the receipt, storage, and management of test samples.
- Ensure test methods are validated and laboratory equipment is calibrated according to schedule.
- Oversee the implementation of QA/QC procedures.
- Follow up on internal and external audit findings.
- Manage laboratory equipment and materials.
- Supervise the use, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Control the inventory of chemicals, media, and testing supplies.
- Guide, train, and evaluate the performance of laboratory staff.
- Ensure occupational health and safety (OHS) within the laboratory environment.
- Prepare and submit test result reports, quality reports, and laboratory activity reports.
- Report technical and non-technical issues to superiors for follow-up actions.
- Ensure the implementation of OHS procedures and laboratory waste management in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Supervise the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all laboratory staff.
- Min Bachelor's degree fromScience,Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or Food Technology.
- Have min. 1 year experience in the same field
- Proven experience in laboratory operations, preferably under ISO 17025 standards.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, laboratory testing methods, and equipment calibration.
- Familiarity with OHS regulations, laboratory waste management, and environmental compliance.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of troubleshooting technical issues.
