Role Overview
The
General Manager – Human Resources Department
plays a strategic leadership role in developing and executing HR strategies that align with the organization's goals. Success in this position means fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, and driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, talent development, and organizational performance. This role contributes directly to the company's growth by positioning HR as a key business partner, particularly within the dynamic and fast-paced restaurant industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Lead and oversee all HR functions including recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee relations, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Drive organizational culture initiatives that promote inclusion, collaboration, and employee well-being.
- Partner with senior management to identify workforce needs and design effective talent acquisition and retention strategies.
- Oversee HR budget planning and ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Provide guidance and coaching to HR teams to ensure professional growth and operational excellence.
- Collaborate closely with operations teams to support manpower planning, training, and performance management specific to the restaurant industry.
Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field. - Experience:
Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role. Previous experience in the
restaurant, hospitality, or service industry
is
highly preferred
