About the Role

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of inventory management across Borwita's nationwide distribution network. You'll be responsible for monitoring inventory performance, analyzing stock movement, managing NPI (Non-Performing Inventory), and driving process improvements to optimize working capital and minimize losses.

This role requires strong analytical thinking, collaboration with cross-functional teams (Sales, Warehouse, and Finance), and a hands-on approach to ensuring stock integrity in a fast-moving consumer goods environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze slow-moving, non-moving, and blocking items to propose effective liquidation or utilization plans.
  • Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

  • Develop and execute action plans for NPI, BS (Bad Stock), and NED (Near Expiry Date) items in coordination with Supply Chain and Sales teams.

  • Monitor execution of NPI plans to ensure alignment with company policies and target reductions.

  • Ensure accurate and timely stock reporting (including aging, ED, and variance reports) from branches.

  • Collaborate with Warehouse & Logistics teams to ensure disposal, return, or transfer processes follow SOP and budget constraints.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory management standards.

  • Identify inefficiencies in inventory processes and propose improvements to reduce handling errors and optimize working capital.

  • Prepare periodic inventory performance reports and present analysis to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control, stock management, or supply chain within FMCG or distribution industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot, lookup, data analysis) and familiarity with ERP/WMS systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities across departments.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
