Position Overview The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, stewarding, and continuously improving corrosion monitoring and control programs, pressure equipment integrity programs, structural integrity programs, and material selection strategies. These efforts are critical to ensuring the integrity, safety, and operability of production equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing corrosion control strategies and integrity management programs
- Hands-on experience with inspection planning, execution, and reporting for pressure equipment and piping systems
- Experience in conducting failure analysis and root cause investigations '
- Knowledge of welding processes and metallurgy, especially in relation to fabrication and repair of oil and gas equipment
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and interfacing with operations, maintenance, and engineering functions
- Certification in relevant areas (e.g., API 510/570/653, NACE/AMPP) is an advantage
Key Competencies
- Strong analytical and technical expertise in corrosion management and material selection, with a solid understanding of oil and gas processing technologies.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written), with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and other relevant standards in materials and corrosion engineering.
- Familiarity with Indonesian regulations, particularly MIGAS requirements.
- Experience in risk-based inspection (RBI) and integrity management systems, including data interpretation and reporting.
- Ability to lead or support failure analysis investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Strong project management and coordination skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating integrity risks.
