About the Role

As a Sr Project Budget controller, you are responsible to manage and control the project budget from the financial perspective, including cost planning, scenario simulation, monitoring of cost realization, as well as overseeing project payments and cash flow.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project cost plan reports and cash flow projections to ensure the availability of budget and cash on time according to the project implementation plan.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Financial Control to synchronize project financial data to ensure that all project actualization data is reflected in the consolidated financial statements and aligned with group accounting policies.
  • Conduct cost scenario simulations (best/worst/realistic) to help management understand potential cost deviations and make anticipatory financial decisions.
  • Regularly compare budget vs. actual cost to identify budget variances and provide early warnings of potential waste or overruns.
  • Prepare initial cost estimates for new projects (pre-feasibility) to support the preliminary evaluation of investment feasibility from a financial perspective.
  • Manage vendor payments, contractor terms, and progress certificates to ensure smooth cash flow and timely payments in line with field progress.
  • Compile all project financial data systematically for audit purposes, management reporting, and as a reference for future project budgeting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience as a Financial Controller, Financial Planning & Analysis, or Budget Controller, preferably in Property industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
  • Proven experience in conducting feasibility studies and financial analysis for new projects or initiatives.
  • Proficient in SAP and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Mastery of cost control principles, cash flow, and project payment terms
