The Role

The Recruitment and Employee Development (RED) Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for driving English 1's national talent strategy.

You will lead recruitment, learning and development, and employer branding—positioning English 1 as an employer of choice in the education sector. Managing a national team, you will shape the employee experience from first contact through to professional growth.

Key responsibilities include:
Leading national strategies for recruitment, training, and employee development.
Managing and coaching a multi-disciplinary team (L&D, Training, Project Admin).
Driving employer branding and recruitment marketing to attract top talent.
Overseeing the design and delivery of impactful CPD programs and national training events.
Monitoring pipelines, training effectiveness, and workforce planning using data-driven insights.

Candidate Profile

Essential:
• Strong experience in recruitment, employee development, or HR leadership.
• Proven ability to manage diverse teams across functions.
• Expertise in employer branding and recruitment marketing.
• Experience designing/delivering large-scale training initiatives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project skills.

Desirable:
• Background in education or language training.
• Familiarity with international recruitment.
• Experience in multi-site or distributed organisations.
• Track record of improving candidate and employee engagement.
