Job Description:

PT Yili Indonesia Dairy opens an internship program for students who have an interest and basic knowledge in Refrigeration Engineering to support the cooling system of our milk and ice cream production plant in Cikarang.

This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to learn and contribute to the management of chiller, freezer, cold storage, and HVAC systems used in international food production processes. Candidates will work with a team of engineers and technicians in monitoring, analyzing, and developing industrial cooling systems according to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the engineer team in monitoring and maintaining industrial cooling systems (chiller, ammonia/CO₂ system, cold room).
  • Assist in analyzing daily cooling system temperature, pressure, and performance data.
  • Record operational reports and routine inspections of the factory cooling system.
  • Assist in initial troubleshooting of cooling system disruptions or performance degradation.
  • Assist in technical translation (if the candidate is fluent in Mandarin) for machine documentation from China.
  • Support technical documentation and SOP implementation according to HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 standards.

General Qualifications:

Active students (D3/S1) from the following majors:

  • Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineering (TRTU)
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Engineering Physics
  • or other relevant engineering majors.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Has basic knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems (compressors, chillers, valves, evaporators, etc.).
  • Mastering basic measuring instruments (digital thermometers, manometers, etc.).
  • Able to read and understand refrigeration system diagrams (P&ID preferred).
  • Able to work in factory areas and cold rooms.

Additional Skills (Optional):

  • Able to speak English is a plus (many technical documents are in English).
  • Mastery of technical software such as AutoCAD or basic PLC (a plus).
