About the Role
The
Assessment Development Manager
is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of a portfolio of innovative, culturally relevant, valid, and reliable assessment tools that support talent acquisition, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
This role works closely with the Product Strategy & Innovation team to define and execute the assessment product roadmap, ensuring alignment with market demands and seamless integration into HR applications. The position also oversees a team of Assessment Development Analysts and manages collaborations with internal and external psychometric experts and consultants to deliver high-quality and impactful assessment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, prioritize, and execute the strategic assessment roadmap, ensuring alignment with global trends, emerging methodologies, and technological innovations (including AI).
- Provide psychometric leadership and oversight to ensure adherence to rigorous scientific and quality standards.
- Manage complex assessment development projects, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timeline, and budget.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Assessment Development team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Act as a senior subject matter expert to support internal stakeholders and contribute to high-value client engagements.
- Oversee portfolio maintenance and improvement, including validation studies, item bank management, and norm updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, preferably with a concentration in Psychometrics, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or Statistics. A Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in assessment development, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Proven track record in launching assessment products and managing large-scale psychometric projects.
- Prior experience in a technology-driven, product-led organization is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of psychometric theories (e.g., CTT, IRT, Factor Analysis), assessment innovations, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent leadership, project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Assessment Center Assessor are preferred.
