Onshore Lead Static Equipment Engineer

The Onshore Lead Static Equipment Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of static equipment and structural fabric across onshore assets. The role provides leadership to the static equipment team, ensuring effective execution of maintenance strategies and integrity programmes to support safe, reliable, and cost‑efficient operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the static equipment engineering team, providing timely and effective technical support for in‑service static equipment, pipelines, and fabric issues.
  • Ensure delivery of high‑quality engineering assessments, repair recommendations, and technical justifications in line with relevant codes and standards.
  • Review and endorse vendor repair methods, procedures, and materials to guarantee safety, reliability, and operational readiness.
  • Facilitate collaboration between engineering, operations, inspection, and maintenance teams to resolve static equipment and integrity challenges.
  • Provide guidance for turnaround and shutdown planning, including scope definition, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of technical reports and documentation in compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support root cause failure investigations by providing technical leadership, coordinating inputs, and driving corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in static equipment integrity and fabric maintenance through engineering‑led initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in oil and gas static equipment maintenance, inspection, and fabric management.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (API 510, API 570, API 653, ASME VIII, B31.3).
  • Hands‑on experience in inspection techniques and maintenance of pressure vessels, piping, tanks, heat exchangers, and structural fabric.
  • Proven experience managing contractors and coordinating turnaround/shutdown activities.
  • Skilled in root cause failure analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
