The IT Network Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the company's network infrastructure to ensure security, stability, and high performance. This role plays a key part in network troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and safeguarding data communication across all systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN networks.
- Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including connectivity and latency problems.
- Manage and configure network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and load balancers.
- Ensure network security through firewall configuration, IDS/IPS management, and access control.
- Perform regular firmware updates and apply security patches.
- Collaborate with IT teams (system admin, security, helpdesk) to support system integration.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including topology diagrams and configuration records.
- Support IT audits and compliance with security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
- Conduct capacity planning and recommend network infrastructure improvements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Network Engineering.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Network Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and firewall configuration.
- Hands-on experience with network devices from vendors such as Cisco, Mikrotik, Juniper, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, or Nagios).
- Knowledge of network security, load balancing, and high availability concepts.
- Ability to create and interpret network topology diagrams and technical documentation.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE, or Mikrotik MTCNA are a strong plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
