Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.
- Certifications like ASQ CQE, ISO Lead Auditor, or NDT Level II/III are a plus.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment, preferably in piping systems or pressure component industries.
- At least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of QC methods, inspection tools, and testing techniques (hydrotest, NDT, PMI, etc.).
- Familiarity with relevant standards: ASME B31.3, API 5L, ASTM, ISO 9001, PED, etc.
- Proficient in quality documentation, QMS, and statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems and procedures for pipe and valve production lines.
- Ensure all raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods meet required specifications and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
- Oversee dimensional, visual, hydrostatic, and non-destructive testing (NDT) processes for pipes and pressure control components.
- Supervise and lead QC inspectors, lab technicians, and testing teams.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection and testing equipment regularly.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct internal audits and support third-party and customer audits.
- Prepare quality documentation, reports, and maintain quality records.
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen).
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in quality practices.
