Role Overview

The Assistant Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and expanding the company's freight customer base in Indonesia, for both Air Freight and Ocean Freight business.

The role focuses on generating new business opportunities, nurturing long-term client relationships, and delivering customized freight solutions that meet both cost and service requirements. By monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights, the Assistant Sales Manager will contribute to strategy development and revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing, executing sales and marketing strategies aligned to air and ocean freight business goals.
  • Support and/or supervise a sales team to meet targets.
  • Identify potential clients; maintain strong market presence.
  • Produce and deliver professional quotations, solutions, and manage customer relationships.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure operational execution.
  • Track and report market trends, competitor behavior, and customer insights; feedback into strategy.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields.
  • Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Sales functions.

  • 2+ years of sales experience in 3PL, freight forwarding (air or ocean cargo), or similar industries or businesses.
  • Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of freight/3PL business operations, especially air or ocean cargo.

  • Experience managing tenders, doing pricing simulations, designing freight-solution suggestions.
  • English with strong verbal and written communication skills. Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, relationship building with vendors and partners.
