The Technology Lead will play a crucial role in our progressive technology company's transition from startup to scale-up phase. This position involves leading technical initiatives, mentoring team members, and driving innovation in our educational technology solutions including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Assessment platforms, and ERP systems (ODOO-based). The role requires both strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities to guide our engineering team toward excellence

Responsibilities

• Lead major technical initiatives from architecture to deployment
• Champion our debate culture: constructively criticize work across domains while maintaining accountability for excellent execution
• Challenge Product Design and Product Growth decisions with technical insights (20% of cross-functional engagement)
• Facilitate healthy technical debates while ensuring timely delivery
• Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrate measurable improvement in code quality and team velocity
• Provide mentorship and show clear impact on team members’ skill development
• Build high-performing, autonomous engineering team
• Achieve significant reduction in Solution Lead dependency for complex implementations
• Plan and oversee software development lifecycle phases
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and technical dependencies
• Identify and mitigate technical risks proactively
• Provide regular progress updates to Solution Lead and stakeholders
• Ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery
• Reduce technical debt through systematic improvements
• Establish scalable technical architecture supporting business growth trajectory
• Successfully integrate AI/ML features optimizing customer experience
• Contribute to technology strategy and long-term technical roadmap
• Collaborate with Product teams on feasibility assessments, timelines, and technical trade-offs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 2‑5 years of professional software development experience
• Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams (formal or informal)
• Track record of building scalable, maintainable applications
• Experience with modern software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum)
• Understanding about Docker: Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (required)
• Understanding about Cloudflare Infrastructure: Deep knowledge of Cloudflare ecosystem including Workers, CDN, DNS, load balancing, and security features (critical requirement)
• Strong problem‑solving and system architecture skills
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Understanding of database design and optimization
• Strong mentorship mindset with genuine investment in team growth
• Excellent communication skills in both technical and non‑technical contexts
• Ability to give and receive constructive criticism professionally
• Proven ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Conflict resolution and decision‑making capabilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including campaign managers, sales managers, and other developers, to define software requirements and specifications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, and debugging.
• Willingness to help tutor and coach other developers in the team
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Contribute to team knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and frameworks, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Containerization & Deployment: Docker
• Frontend: HTML, CSS, Tailwind, and Flowbite for component libraries
• Additional Tools: Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, is a plus.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of professional experience as a software developer with good knowledge of Python and a strong focus on programming best practices, like SOLID and DRY.
• Desirable: proficiency in Django, with a track record of building and deploying high‑quality, scalable applications. If you don't have but think you can learn fast, apply anyway.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, relational databases, and ORM concepts.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, including Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
