Job Description:

  • Test Planning & Strategy: Define test plans, scope, and timelines for projects and prioritize test cases based on risk and business impact.
  • Test Execution: Perform manual testing (functional, regression, smoke) and validate fixes for reported defects.
  • Defect Management: Log, track, and retest defects and collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
  • Documentation: Create test cases, checklists, and reports.
  • Collaboration: Work with Product, Dev, and Ops teams to clarify requirements and participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in end-to-end testing of banking systems (core banking, payments, loans, cards, etc).
  • Proficiency in test case design.
  • Proficiency in defect lifecycle management with RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
  • Proficiency in exploratory testing for risk-based scenarios (e.g., fraud detection workflows).
  • SQL Advanced queries for transaction validation.
  • API Testing Postman/Swagger for REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) using Gherkin syntax.
  • Ability to dissect complex banking workflows (e.g., loan origination -> disbursement -> repayment). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum.
