Job Description:
- Test Planning & Strategy: Define test plans, scope, and timelines for projects and prioritize test cases based on risk and business impact.
- Test Execution: Perform manual testing (functional, regression, smoke) and validate fixes for reported defects.
- Defect Management: Log, track, and retest defects and collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Documentation: Create test cases, checklists, and reports.
- Collaboration: Work with Product, Dev, and Ops teams to clarify requirements and participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in end-to-end testing of banking systems (core banking, payments, loans, cards, etc).
- Proficiency in test case design.
- Proficiency in defect lifecycle management with RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
- Proficiency in exploratory testing for risk-based scenarios (e.g., fraud detection workflows).
- SQL Advanced queries for transaction validation.
- API Testing Postman/Swagger for REST/SOAP APIs.
- Experience with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) using Gherkin syntax.
- Ability to dissect complex banking workflows (e.g., loan origination -> disbursement -> repayment). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum.
