One of our clients, a consulting firm based in Indonesia that specialises in guiding businesses and institutions through sustainable transitions, is looking for a passionate GHG Consultant to join their team.

The ideal candidate is a climate-conscious professional with hands-on experience in GHG management, carbon accounting, and sustainability strategy. You are analytical, proactive, and motivated to make a tangible impact on the Southeast Asian environmental landscape. This role will be co-supervised by the CEO and Technical Director.

Requirements :

  • Open for expatriate candidates.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of professional or research experience in GHG management, sustainability consulting, or climate policy.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English (IELTS 5.0+), proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural work competence, prior experience living or working in Southeast Asia preferred.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and independent, with strong organisational skills.
  • Deep interest in environmental sustainability, climate change mitigation, and low-carbon development.
  • Proven experience in GHG inventories/carbon accounting for organisations or projects, using standards such as:
  • ISO 14064 series, GHG Protocol, or CDM methodologies.
  • Familiarity with carbon credits, carbon markets, CBAM, and PDD submission processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Experience with data analytics, visualisation, or big data tools is a strong advantage.
  • Experience managing or supervising small project teams.
  • Understanding of ESG frameworks and sustainability reporting.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills for client engagement.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead end-to-end project communication, documentation, and client coordination.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain project structure, Gantt charts, and ensure timely delivery within budget.
  • Monitor overall workdays (WDs), project milestones, and performance metrics.
  • Supervise the technical analysis, quality control, and final report writing.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and quality of work related to:
  • GHG inventories and data analysis
  • Climate change mitigation and decarbonisation strategies
  • Capacity building and training modules
  • Review and optimise methodologies for GHG management projects (data collection, validation, client engagement).
  • Support the design and delivery of training programs on GHG accounting and management.
  • Collaborate with the national team to develop short- and long-term strategies for GHG Management services.
  • Contribute to defining service offerings, pricing models, customer segments, and competitor analysis.
  • Research international standards, emerging regulations, and market trends in GHG management to inform business development.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals and project bids.
  • Stay updated on global and regional GHG policies, carbon trading mechanisms, and sustainability frameworks.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and process improvement initiatives.
  • Depending on experience, supervise junior staff or interns within the department.
