Purpose of the role:
Support business through optimizing on-time delivery by managing transport planning and lead the logistic team in identifying cost saving opportunities and drive actual savings vs budget. Incumbent leads actual freight cost progress to manager below budget, whilst drive strategic Distribution for serving Customers both MT and GT along with STO and accessorial cost.
Key Responsibilities/Key Roles
On-Time Delivery
- Ensure team to execute actual dispatch meet plan dispatch.
- Manage coordination with Customer Facings to ensure optimization of every shipment planned by Distribution team.
- Supervise distribution team's performance through PBO development and monitoring.
Internal Coordination
- Liaise with Customer Facing for coordination or problem solving in creating plan and execution for delivery.
- Liaise with Logistics, Finance, or Planning to ensure smooth processes and execution related with Cost Savings and Cost to Serve.
External Coordination
- Liaise with transportation vendor for performance, compliance, and being strategic to improve relationship and value in service provided by Vendors.
- To ensure Vendor's service level agreement met, define strategic agreement to align with Vendor with each vendor, related SLA.
Process Improvements
- Define, improve, document, cascade Standard Ops Procedure with making communication to Stake Holders, while having SOP signed-off by Management team.
- Continue to define and develop effectiveness in various processes and reducing non value added activities or administration.
- Identify and to drive long term infrastructure requirement for Logistics Distribution and Route To Market capabilities, with identification of future projects of Cost Savings and/or Cost Avoidance within Freight Cost.
Administration Improvements and Supports
- Approval and to ensure compliance for any Distribution related & Reverse Logistics processes, delivery to customers, PO approval for Transportation, Cost analysis with Finance team, and driving cost improvements through strategic timeline along with Customer Facing and Finance.
- Lead, monitor and execute actions from initiative or project are completed on time.
Compliances
- Ensure all transactional and processes of Distribution, STO, Reverse Logistics, and accessorial cost are within compliance, with transparent and clear documentation.
- Escalated when in comply process exist or requested.
- To be responsible for any compliances for any audit purposes.
Requirements:
- Minimum education: Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 2 years in the same position
