Role Description
This is a contract role for a
Chef de Partie
, located on-site in
Central Jakarta, Indonesia
, as part of a
pre-opening team
. The Chef de Partie will be responsible for assisting in all kitchen operations, preparing and cooking dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards, and ensuring the quality, taste, and consistency of each menu item. The role also includes maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in training junior staff, and ensuring smooth coordination during service. Additional responsibilities include assisting with ingredient preparation, monitoring inventory levels, and collaborating with the team to ensure an efficient and high-quality kitchen operation.
- Proven experience as a
Chef de Partie (Hot Kitchen)
in an
Indonesian restaurant
or similar culinary setting. - Strong knowledge of
authentic Indonesian dishes
, cooking methods, sauces, and spice blends. - Skilled in
kitchen organization, timing, and maintaining food quality and consistency
during busy operations. - Familiar with
food hygiene, sanitation practices, and safety regulations
according to restaurant standards. - Ability to
guide and support commis or junior cooks
, ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations. - Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Formal
culinary training or professional certification
with a focus on Indonesian cuisine is preferred. - Indonesian citizens only
