Head of Finance & Operations

We are looking for a Head of Finance & Operations for our client, a leading multinational company in the tobacco sector. This role oversees the company’s commercial department, including finance & accounting, taxes, HR, legal, and procurement. Key focus: enhance financial transparency, develop KPIs, and improve processes across all support functions.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English, working in a multinational company in the agribusiness or tobacco sector (MUST).
  • Master’s degree in finance or accounting (MUST).
  • Min 10 years’ proven experience in finance, accounting & tax, mandatory in agribusiness and tobacco industries.
  • Strong leadership track record with at least 3 years in a similar role with responsibility for Finance, HR, Legal, IT and general administration.
  • Preferably has Big 4 audit experience, combined with in‑house corporate experience or back‑office management experience.
Responsibilities

1. Controlling & Finance

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial & KPI reporting to Group.
  • Monitor and develop financial & operational KPIs.
  • Ensure quarterly financial statements, budget, and forecast are correct and on time.
  • Monitor investment projects and performance data (yield, productivity, cost).
  • Prepare and analyze financial KPIs, variance analysis, and standard costing.

2. Taxes

  • Ensure accurate tax settlement (direct & indirect).
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors.
  • Prepare transfer pricing documentation with Local Tax Manager.

3. HR

  • Ensure compliance with People processes (recruitment, performance, C&B, etc.).
  • Comply with labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage and review contracts, licenses, and legal compliance.
  • Liaise with government authorities (environment, manpower, revenue agency).
  • Report FX export income to Bank Indonesia.
  • Support Code of Conduct & compliance programs and assist Legal Counsel.

5. Purchasing & Logistics

  • Oversee purchasing process for goods & services.
  • Coordinate tobacco transport and export including documentation.

6. IT

  • Provide first‑level user support and coordinate with Group IT Team.
