About the Role

As a Superintendent Compensation & Benefit at PT Kuala Pelabuhan Indonesia, you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's total rewards strategy. Based in Timika, Papua Tengah, this full-time leadership role is pivotal in ensuring that our compensation and benefits programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with business goals to attract, retain, and motivate top talent across the organization.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies aligned with organizational objectives and market trends.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of compensation structures, incentive programs, and employee benefits offerings.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior management and HR business partners on compensation planning, workforce cost management, and reward optimization.
  • Monitor market trends and conduct advanced benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Drive the annual performance and salary review processes, including budgeting, merit increases, and bonus allocations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for benefits providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
  • Lead and mentor a team of compensation and benefits professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support organizational change, workforce planning, and talent retention strategies.

What We're Looking For

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or strategic role.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence at a senior level, with strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Deep understanding of compensation frameworks, benefits design, and performance management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian labor laws and international compensation practices.
  • Highly advanced proficiency in HRIS (preferably SAP), with expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and automation—as well as strong command of data visualization tools.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CCP) is a plus.
