Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designing, analyzing, and altering plans, prototypes, or structures.
- Design, analyze, and modify architectural plans, prototypes, and structures.
- Ensuring building plans, prototypes, and structures are operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
- Assisting team members with project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
- Identifying and solving problems in building plans, prototypes, and structures.
- Ensuring building systems are functional, reliable, and safe. To coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical).
- Participating in site visits, inspections, and progress reviews.
- Reading, interpreting technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Having the ability to diagram designs both manually and with CAD/ Revit.
- Consult clients to understand project requirements and provide design solutions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering.
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience, for Checker level.
- Minimum 3–6 years of relevant experience, for Designer level.
- Industry Experience: Proven background in industrial building projects (CSA type).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other architectural design software.
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- An excellent working knowledge of science, mathematics, and engineering principles.
- Adaptability to new digital tools and BIM workflows.
- Proficient in English (spoken and written); Mandarin is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective time and project management skills.
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High attention to detail, professional attitude, and consistency.
- Willing to be dispatched to overseas or domestic site for project support if required.
Additional Requirements:
For Checker Level:
- Lead basic design development and perform design checks.
- Establishing project goals and ensure alignment with client requirements.
- Testing and evaluating building systems to find problems and improvements.
- Manage design schedules, manpower, and progress for the assigned scope.
- To be responsible for the checker position of at least two completed EPC projects (medium to large scale).
