About the role

As a
Merchandising Senior Officer (Toy, Book & Stationery)
, you will drive category and seller performance through strategic planning, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a platform model where inventory is owned by third-party sellers. You will identify market trends, optimize product assortment, and develop data-driven pricing and promotional strategies aligned with business goals. Your responsibilities include onboarding and managing sellers, ensuring compliance, and optimizing product listings and performance. You'll also design seller development and incentive programs, propose inventory and merchandising tactics to reduce stockouts, and work across teams to enhance fulfillment efficiency, customer experience, and conversion—while continuously monitoring market and competitor dynamics to identify new opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (S1) in Business Administration, Business Marketing, Communication, Management, Marketing, Business Economics, Business Systems, or Information Management with a minimum GPA of 3.3.
  • Experience in the
    Toy, Book, and Stationery
    category or related product segments will be a plus point.
  • Strong understanding of marketplace operations, retail, and trading.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Skilled in product assortment planning, project management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Solid analytical skills with knowledge of data analysis, retail math (including gross profit, rebates, inventory turnover, etc.), and visual merchandising.
  • Excellent in formal presentation and communication.
  • Strong problem-solving, creativity and innovation, and negotiation skills.
