Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Geography, Cartography, IT, or Information Systems.
- Has 3–5 years of experience as a GIS Developer or Spatial Developer.
- Understands cartographic concepts such as symbology, color theory, labeling, generalization, and visual hierarchy.
- Able to translate cartographic design into code using Mapbox Style, SLD, or CartoCSS.
- Proficient in JavaScript for web mapping, including Mapbox GL JS, Leaflet, and OpenLayers.
- Familiar with the Python GIS stack such as GeoPandas, Shapely, and Matplotlib (a plus).
- Capable of creating choropleth maps, heatmaps, proportional symbol maps, and custom layer styles.
- Experienced in using GeoServer, especially in SLD styling.
- Skilled in PostGIS and able to write strong spatial queries.
- Understands vector tiles, raster tiles, tiling, simplification, and caching.
- Detail-oriented, strong in spatial problem-solving, and capable of working with large spatial datasets.
- Possesses a portfolio of interactive maps or custom map styling (strong advantage).
