Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
You will be responsible for the end-to-end strategy, design, and execution of JAPFA Food's external presence, ensuring every activation delivers maximum strategic value.
1. External Events Execution & Agility
- Lead the planning and execution of a diverse event portfolio, including: sports events, music festivals, food festivals, trade fairs, exhibitions, and B2B/Corporate events.
- Drive agility and creative problem-solving: develop customized execution plans for each event, as a "one-size-fits-all" approach will not work given the variety of event types.
- Oversee all operational logistics for activations, ensuring the seamless setup, execution, and breakdown of all brand touchpoints.
2. Strategic Planning & B2B Focus
- B2B Strategy: Specifically support the B2B sales team by designing and executing corporate events, conferences, and trade fairs focused on sourcing leads and establishing JAPFA Food as a thought leader in the industry.
- Budget Authority: Primarily execute against budgets provided by BU/Division teams. However, you are empowered to propose and recommend new event opportunities to relevant Brand and BU teams to gain approval and secure funding.
- Marketing Integration: Ensure all activations are grounded in basic marketing principles (4Ps, funnel) to achieve core objectives (awareness, trial, purchase, lead generation).
3. Cross-Functional Coordination & Training
- Serve as the central liaison for complex coordination across Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to align event messaging, product focus, and logistical delivery.
- Translate product details and communication strategies into effective training materials and concise briefs for all event staff and agencies.
4. Operational Excellence & Discipline
- Maintain extreme attention to detail and disciplined execution to guarantee high quality and consistency across all events.
- Manage execution under tight budgets and timelines with a scrappy mindset to maximize the ROI of every activation.
- Pragmatic Approach: Utilize a pragmatic/practical bent of mind to design setups that are easy to execute in-store while delivering memorable consumer experiences.
