Overview

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic
Category Trade Marketing Manager
to lead the development and execution of trade marketing initiatives across Indonesia. The role is responsible for translating brand strategies into impactful in-store execution, driving sell-out, strengthening channel visibility, and ensuring effective collaboration between sales, marketing, and retail partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trade Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and implement trade marketing strategies that align with brand and business objectives.
  • Localize global/regional marketing plans into market-relevant trade executions.
  • Manage annual trade marketing calendar across channels (general trade and MTI)

  • Channel & Customer Marketing

  • Design and execute customer-tailored programs to drive category growth and brand share.
  • Partner with sales to create joint business plans with key retailers.
  • Strengthen brand presence and visibility at point of sale.

  • Promotions & Activation

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate in-store promotions, merchandising, and events.
  • Ensure excellence in execution through effective coordination with agencies, suppliers, and retail partners.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to recommend responsive trade tactics.

  • Performance & Budget Management

  • Manage and optimize trade marketing budgets with ROI-driven planning.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of trade campaigns and promotions.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to management.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment and timely execution.
  • Serve as the bridge between brand marketing and commercial teams to deliver consistent consumer and shopper experiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (Master's degree a plus).
  • 3-4+ years of experience in trade marketing, channel marketing, or sales within FMCG/beauty/personal care or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesia retail landscape (modern trade, general trade, e-commerce, pharmacy, beauty channels).
  • Proven experience in leading in-store activation, merchandising, and trade promotions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate insights into actions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent and proficient in English.
