Operations Management:

  • Oversee the institution's operational functions, ensuring smooth daily activities and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and refine operational strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure that the educational institution's facilities are well-maintained, safe, and conducive to a high-quality learning environment.
  • Lead and manage vendors responsible for logistics, facilities management, IT support,  IT and data security, on-site security.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and implement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Liaise with academic and administrative departments to align operational support with institutional goals.

Procurement & Supply Chain Management:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of educational materials, equipment, and services.
  • Evaluate and procure / subscribe to IT systems required for the school operations.
  • Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate contracts, ensuring favourable terms and adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, tracking expenses and optimizing budget allocations.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical purchasing standards, and local regulations.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, evaluating performance and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Streamline procurement processes through automation and best practices to improve efficiency.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure that operational and procurement activities comply with local, state, and national education sector regulations.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational and procurement-related risks.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain compliance and efficiency in service delivery.

Financial & Budgetary Oversight:

  • Work with the finance team to develop and manage operational and procurement budgets.
  • Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
  • Provide regular reports on operational performance, procurement activities, and budget utilization to senior leadership.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
  • Collaborate with academic and non-academic staff to ensure operational and procurement needs are met efficiently.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with key vendors and service providers to enhance institutional capabilities.

Technology & Process Improvement:

  • Implement and leverage technology to optimize operational efficiency and procurement workflows.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and systems to streamline administrative and logistical functions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and service delivery.
