We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Import Customs Operations Specialist to manage the end-to-end customs clearance process for cosmetics raw materials imported into Indonesia. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indonesian customs regulations, experience in handling import documentation, and the ability to coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute the customs clearance process for imported cosmetics raw materials, ensuring compliance with Indonesian regulations.
  • Prepare, review, and submit required import documents (e.g., customs declarations, permits, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of analysis).
  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and relevant government agencies (e.g., Indonesian FDA/BPOM) to ensure smooth and timely clearance of shipments.
  • Monitor and track shipment status, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve any customs-related issues, including delays, inspections, or document discrepancies.
  • Stay updated on changes in Indonesian import regulations, tariffs, and trade policies affecting cosmetics raw materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of import transactions, customs declarations, and compliance documents.

Collaborate with the logistics and procurement teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in customs clearance, import operations, or freight forwarding, preferably in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or FMCG industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations, import procedures, and BPOM requirements for cosmetics raw materials.
  • Familiarity with Indonesian Harmonized System (HS) codes and customs valuation.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with external partners.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (both written and spoken).
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
