What you'll be doing
- Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure all employee information, hours worked, deductions, and other payroll data are accurately recorded
- Prepare and distribute payslips to employees on time
- Reconcile payroll accounts and maintain detailed records
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits
- Coordinate with the HR team to ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws and regulations
- Provide support for other accounting and administrative tasks as needed
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a payroll assistant or similar role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Proficient in using payroll software (ProInt, SAP, Oracle, etc) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
