What you'll be doing

  • Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure all employee information, hours worked, deductions, and other payroll data are accurately recorded
  • Prepare and distribute payslips to employees on time
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and maintain detailed records
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits
  • Coordinate with the HR team to ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws and regulations
  • Provide support for other accounting and administrative tasks as needed

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a payroll assistant or similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficient in using payroll software (ProInt, SAP, Oracle, etc) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
